Veteran Notes/Bio

1.Listed Bungendore War Memorial Hall WW1 ROH(1917) and Bygone Queanbeyan as "C.T."

2. AWM Nominal Roll does not specifically list a "C.T."  Of the three "C's" listed two candidates might be # 3359 ( b.Bynalong) and # 3016 (b.Forbes).This Roll also lists a Clarence Vivian Roy #387 (b.Gunning), 4 Bn who was awarded the MM but KIA.5.5.17.Queanbeyan Age 30.07.1918 reported a Pte Bush MM in Bungendore the previous Friday during a March to Freedom event however this might have been Pte Tubal (Tubal Phillip William George Bush 1 Bn 18 Re-enforcements,Bungendore.Desert Column website 13.09.14) Bush # 5649 (b.Gunning) who RTA 12.05.1918.

3.AWM Embarkation Roll indicates that NOK of # 3016 was from the Queanbeyan area and he appears to be the most likely candidate for the Bungendore Memorial although the Bungendore/Local connection is weak.

4. “MAPPING ANZACS”:  POB:Forbes,NSW :POE: Bathurst,NSW;           NOK:Father.William Bush."Gudgenby" Station via Queanbeyan,NSW.

5. AWM Embarkation Roll: Rank: Private ;Unit: 33 Infantry Battalion - 7 and 8 Reinforcements (n.d.) ; Age:26; Occupation:Labourer ;DOE:16.11.1916 ; Embarked:24.01.1917.Sydney.HMAT Anchises.A68.5. AWM Nominal Roll: Rank: Private ;Unit: 33 Battalion ; RTA:27.07.1917.(Discharged - Epilepsy  30.10.1917)
