Veteran Notes/Bio

Please note, this veterans surname is spelt incorrectly on the Kenthurst and Annangrove First World War Roll of Honor (1916). It is spelt Davis, instead of Davies. William was born at Riverstone NSW and enlisted on 18 January 1915. On enlistment, he gave his address and the address of his next-of-kin as Annangrove NSW. He served in Gallipoli and France. He was gassed and also suffered from gunshot wounds to his left leg. He returned to Australia 17 March 1919 and was discharged on 2 July 1919.
