Description / Background

The wooden Honour Roll/Memorial Board is approximately 60cm high and 40cm wide. It lists 11 First World War veterans' names inscribed with gold lettering. They are also listed as pupils who attended the school in the students Roll Book of 1898 to 1907. Of these 11, seven are unable to be identified with links to the area on the Australian Imperial Force or National Archives of Australia databases. For access to the Memorial Board contact the School Office.

Additional information: 

  • Annangrove Public School was opened on 9 July 1895 as Rouse Hill Provisional School on Rouse Hill Road and the schools name was changed to Annan Grove Provisional School on 7th October 1896. It is now known as Annangrove Public School.On the back of the memorial board engraved into the wood are details of the maker of the memorial board. He was, Corporal Charles Frederick Brenneke service number 2702, 7th Field Company Engineers.
