WATERLOO SYDNEY WAS NAMED IN COMMEMORATION OF THE VICTORY AT WATERLOO, BELGIUM IN 1815 BY ALLIED FORCES UNDER THE COMMAND OF SIR ARTHUR WELLESLEY, EARL OF WELLINGTON LATER THE FIRST DUKE OF WELLINGTONVIC SMITH MAYOR
