Description / Background

Six-sided concrete plinth, the rear side being curved. The memorial displays name plates dedicated to those who served in the First and Second World Wars. The memorial originally supported a light machine gun, and was covered with a rotunda-style roof to protect the gun from the weather. The roof and machine gun have long been removed from the site. In 2003, a grant from the Department of Veteran Affairs received in 2002 enabled a curved granite wall to be constructed behind the plinth and the surrounds remodeled. The memorial was rededicated on Anzac Day 2003.
