The walk starts in Rivulet Park, facing Mittagong Road. The route is approximately 2 kilometres long and is lined with Tai-haku cherry trees. There is one tree for each Australian service person who died during the Vietnam War. A focal point of the walk is a group of five stone pillars, located in a grove near the start of the path. Four of the pillars have honour rolls attached. Located elsewhere on the path is the 8 Royal Australian Regiment Vietnam War Memorial, Bowral.
