Description / Background

A light-coloured, polished wooden board with veterans' names printed in gilt in four columns. A cross next to the name indicates those who died on active service. This board is set behind glass within a darker wooden frame which is decorated with white-pained columns at either side of the names and a crossed Australian flag and Union Jack in the triangular top piece.

Additonal notes by Sydney Trains:

The board is fixed to the exterior wall of the platform building facing platform 1 at Hawkesbury River Station (formerly known as Brooklyn Station). Currently in good condition. It lies within the heritage listing boundary of the Hawkesbury River Station Railway Group.
