Description / Background

A grouping of concrete walls and plinths painted white and bearing inscriptions, located within RSL Park in Eden. Two large concrete walls face each other across the space. They have several black marble plaques with white engraved names attached. On one wall is the First World War honour roll and on the other is the Second World War and Vietnam roll. Between these is a large horizontal black marble cross inscribed 'Lest we forget'. In front of this is a field gun painted green and to the right is a single aluminium flagpole. To the left are three smaller individual plinths bearing memorial plaques. The memorial is set on a rectangle of black concrete paving with a matching path leading to it from the road. On either side of the path are short columns, one with the name 'Eden War Memorial' on it, the other with the Rising Sun emblem.
