Description / Background

A grouping of 58 trees each with a guard, 32 planted in Frederickton and 26 in East Frederickton. The trees included camphor laurels, silky oaks, buttonwoods and white cedars. The guard rails and posts were constructed using railway sleepers. At the time of planting, it was planned to install copper name plates on each tree guard.

The memorial is in three locations: Ferry Road, East Frederickton, and Great North Road and Edgar Streets, Frederickton.
