Llangothlin and District First World War Honor Roll Middle Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This fine metal honour roll was designed by the Wunderlich Company of Sydney. The bronze relief depicts the Union Jack on the left, the Australian flag on the right, and an Australian soldier at the centre. In the background are trench sandbags with rifles, bayonets fixed. The Guyra Argus issue on 2 May 1929 described the unveiling on Anzac Day 1929 in detail. Mr R. McLean presided and called upon Lieut.-Colonel H. F. White to unveil the honour roll. Llangothlin is a small community located on the New England Highway north of Guyra. Once the Llangothlin Hall was rented, the honour roll was moved to the Guyra Soldiers Memorial Hall.
