Description / Background

A polished wooden Honour Board. The names have been pressed into individual metal plaques and then attached to the board in three columns. The inscription is also on its own metal plaque, at the top of the board.

Notes on veteran names:

  • S T Allen is given on the memorial as S T Torrington.
    • Information about this veteran name: Sidney Torrington Allen has been taken from the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) database and the National Archives of Australia.
  • B G Redding is given on the memorial as B R Redding. This name has been confirmed by the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour, which also notes B G Redding was awarded a Distinguished Conduct Medal.
  • No record can be found for a T Crooks of this area having died during the First World War. The status of this veteran has thus been left as Killed in action (KIA) as that is what is indicated by the memorial.
