Description / Background

A sandstone obelisk surmounted by an urn, surrounded by a base of granite slabs and a small garden with flagpole. It is located opposite the Club building on the other side of the car park. The Memorial serves the Mangrove Mountain area including Kulnura and the surrounds. It was established in 1992 to replace the old cenotaph at the previous Club premises.

RETURNED AND SERVICES LEAGUE OF AUSTRALIA MANGROVE MOUNTAIN SUB-BRANCH. THIS MEMORIAL WAS UNVEILED BY HIS EXCELLENCY REAR ADMIRAL PETER SINCLAIR A.O. GOVERNOR OF NEW SOUTH WALES AND DEDICATED ON 5TH APRIL 1992.

AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. LEST WE FORGET.
