Description / Background

This war memorial is a sandstone drinking fountain, with a bronze honour roll plaque attached. The plaque is semi-circular and is decorated with two classical female figures, who are both surrounded by laurel wreaths. They are labelled 'Courage' and 'Peace'. At the top of the plaque is the Rising Sun emblem of the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces.
