A square tapered stepped sandstone obelisk with marble faces.The memorial is located outside the former Morpeth Courthouse now the museum. Near the corner of Swan Street, Hinton Road, Northumberland Street.
At the top of each marble face are the words 'For King & Country'.
(north face - bottom) Erected in Honor of the men of this district
who voluntarily served in the Great War 1914-1919
(west face - bottom) In memory of those who gave their lives in
World War II 1939-1945. We Will Remember Them.
(south face - bottom) LEST WE FORGET
in memory of the fallen and in honour of those who served
their country World War II 1939-1945, Korea, Malaya, Borneo, Vietnam.
