Morpeth District War Memorial


A tapered, square and stepped sandstone pillar. The four sides of the pillar contain marble tablets inscribed with the Great War honor roll, and the base has three smaller plaques attached. The memorial is located outside the former Morpeth Courthouse, which is now a museum.

North face - base

Erected in Honor of the men of this district who voluntarily served in the Great War 1914-1919

West face - base 

In memory of those who gave their lives in World War II 1939-1945. We will remember them.

South face - base

Lest we forget. In memory of the fallen and in honour of those who served their country World War II 1939-1945, Korea, Malaya, Borneo, Vietnam.
