The Morton Memorial Doors, St Stephen's Presbyterian Church

Brass Plate covered Morton Memorial Doors at the front entrance to the St Stephen's Presbyterian Church.

Mr and Mrs Morton died in a Comet air crash in Calcutta 2nd May 1953. Mr Morton served in WWII and won a Military Medal in the New Guinea Campaign.



Two small brass plaques, 1 on each door.

RHS door "In loving memory of Helen and Hamish Morton, died Comet air crash, Calcutta May 2nd 1953".

LHS door "These doors are presented by Helen's parents and brothers, David John and Alistair Leitch".
