This memorial has two main elements both set within a gravelled area in the grassed entrance corner of the Recreation Ground. The first is a rough-hewn piece of local stone with associated bronze plaque and an adjacent flagpole. The second is a series of four sawn sandstone pieces - bronze name plaques are attached to three of the four stones.
This memorial was dedicated on the 25th April 1998 in memory of all who served from the Murrumbateman District. Lest We Forget. This flagpole was erected to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Murrumbateman Lions Club 23.9.1988. Memorial displays the names of those who were either born or enlisted locally.
