M.W.S. and D.B. (Metropolitan Water Sewerage and Drainage Board) 1939-1945

Description

Cast bronze plaque roughly 800x1500mm containing details of MWSDB staff killed between 1939 and 1945. One of a matched pair, the first of which honours WWI casualties.

Inscription

Quique sui memores alios fecere merendo (top border); Lest We Forget (bottom border); A roll honouring the 1072 employees who enlisted is in the Board’s library (bottom border)
