Description / Background

This honour roll is a cast bronze plaque, which lists the names of 42 Metropolitan Water Sewerage and Drainage Board (M.W.S. & D.B.) staff killed during the Second World War. The top of the board is decorated with a wreath, surrounding an emblem consisting of wings flanking a shield.

The roll is one of a matching set. Its pair is listed separately on the NSW War Memorials Register as the M.W.S. and D.B. First World War Honour Roll

The memorial was originally located in the Sydney Water office on Pitt Street in Sydney. Sydney Water sold this building and moved the roll to its Potts Hill site.

Please note, this memorial is in storage and not accessible to the public.
