Description / Background

Black stone block, mounted on a black stone step, set within a large circular base made of different stone. The dedication is inscribed in gold lettering on the front of the monument. A small plaque on the base records the unveiling details. No individual names are recorded on this memorial. Behind the momument are two flagpoles. 

The memorial is located in a park opposite Richmond Royal Australian Air Force base.

Dedicated to all National Servicemen who served between 1951-1972.

Unveiled 18 March 2007 by Air Commodore (Retired) Geoff Mitchell, AO, CBE, AFG NSW Patron NSAA. 'We will never forget.'
