Rooty Hill RSL Memorial (Demolished) Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Note: the war memorial pictured above and described below is no longer at the Rooty Hill RSL Club. It was replaced with a new memorial around 2015, for the Centenary of Anzac. If you have information about the new memorial, please contact the NSW War Memorials Register. Former description: The memorial is situated in front of the Rooty Hill RSL Club. It consists of a round, stone fountain, featuring a black marble pillar in the centre. On the front of the pillar is a black plaque, inscribed with the dedication. Around the trim of the fountain are four plaques in memory of individuals. Three of these are for those who contributed to the club itself and the fourth is for a veteran. Surrounding the fountain are brick walls with black marble plaques attached, which list the names of RSL sub-Branch members who have died since 1952. Near the walls are an eternal flame and two flagpoles. In the garden to the right of the fountain are three plaques.
