Description / Background

First World War Roll of Honour

A large, rectangular cast bronze plaque divided into nine equal-sized rectangular plates, on which the veterans' names are set and polished. The top of the plaque, containing the inscription and Council's crest, overhangs the plates beneath in the form of a pelmet.

Second World War Roll of Honour

This memorial is similar in overall design and composition to the larger First World War plaque, with the Council crest atop. The polished inscription and veterans' names are set on two unequal-sized plates within the frame of the plaque.

Both Rolls of Honour are located in the exterior entrance to the Sydney Town Hall.
