Description / Background

The Australia Remembers Garden was established in 1995 within Tenterfield's existing Jubilee Park. It commemorates those Australian men and women who served in the Second World War. A dedication plaque is attached to a bushrock within the garden.

The Australia Remembers program was designed by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

Jubilee Park was developed to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Tenterfield Municipality from 1871 to 1921. The foundation stone of the Band Rotunda was laid on 22 November 1921.
