War Memorial, previously known as the Peace Memorial

The War Memorial is dedicated to technical education staff and students from TAFE institutions throughout NSW.

It is described as a metal fabricated sphere, symbolising the world, in a sandstone obelisk denoting peace. It sits on another sandstone base.

The Memorial stands 180cm tall between two flagpoles.

 Other details: Sydney TAFE conducts commemorative services at this site for ANZAC Day  25 April and Remembrance Day 11 November. Contact the Sydney TAFE  Information Centre on 1300 360 601 prior to these dates.



There are two small plaques on the sides of the Memorial.

Right side plaque reads:

"This Memorial was unveiled by Dr Allan Pattison

Director-General NSW Department of Technical and Further Education

10 November 1983


Left side plaque reads:

"Designed by Carmel Frederico Student Architectural

Draftmens Certificate Course 1982"
