Obelisk of grey Harcourt granite, 30 feet high on a foundation of 40 tons of concrete. An honour roll for the First World War is inscribed on the sides. Dedication plaques and honour rolls for the Second World War and subsequent conflicts have been added at later dates. Two lamp standards, each 15 feet high, flank the memorial.
A First World War field mortar, captured in France as a war trophy is positioned nearby.
