Description / Background

The Warilla RSL sub-Branch Cenotaph is a rectangular granite monument, set within a memorial garden. Attached to the sides of the cenotaph are several plaques, bearing dedications and the names and dates of conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The garden also includes a flagpole and a columbarium, containing the ashes of local returned servicemen and servicewomen. It is these names that are included in the veterans table below. Other names related to this memorial are listed on Shellharbour City Museum's website

The cenotaph stands outside the sub-Branch building. Inside, there is a display of military memorabilia.
