Description / Background

Located in the Coramba Community Hall, the Coramba district rolls of honour are constructed of pressed tin decorations with sheet metal supported on timber.

The First World War roll was unveiled on 13 March 1919 and was designed by a veteran. The names and inscription are painted around the arch on the stage in gold lettering. The arch is decorated with a rising sun in the centre with a coat of arms and flag below and the words 'Coramba District Roll of Honor', also in bold gold lettering.

The Second World War panel is attached to the wall at the left of the stage. It was unveilled on Remembrance Day, 11 November 1949. The Second World War panel appears to have a different lettering style and the sheet metal is retrofitted over the top of the paneled wall.

The Coramba Community Hall  was constructed in 1914 as a School of Arts Hall. It was formerly known as the Coramba School of Arts.
