Description / Background

This memorial is an honour roll for the First and Second World Wars and the Vietnam War. It is a simple rectangle of polished steel, which has been inscribed with the names of those from Crooble and surrounding districts who served in the wars. The names have been coloured matte black, providing a contrast to the mirrored surface of the steel.

The roll was made by Boss Engineer of Inverell, NSW. It was created using funds from an Anzac Centenary Grant, awarded to the Crooble Memorial Hall Committee for an Anzac Day event in 2015.

The roll is located inside Crooble War Memorial Hall and access to it is restricted by the hall's opening hours. Also on site is an older version of this roll, which bears most of the same names. It is listed separately on the NSW War Memorials Register as the Crooble War Memorial Honour Roll. It was updated with funds from the same grant.
