Description

The Manilla Wall of Remembrance is located in the centre of the Manilla General Cemetery. It consists of a large brick central wall, a structure in front of it and two flanking walls with brick pavers and garden of shrubs. The middle structure in front of the wall is inscribed with "To those who served, lest we forget".

The metal plaques commemorate several conflicts: 1914-18; 1939-45; Korea; Malaya; Vietnam; and "Other service".

The memorial commemorates those Australians who served in these various conflicts. A number of those listed on the plaques are buried in the cemetery.
