Maritime Services Board of NSW and Sydney Ports Corporation Staff - Vietnam and East Timor Honour Roll Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The war memorial is a polished timber honour board measuring 60cm high by 50cm wide, topped by a classical pediment containing the Australian Military Forces rising sun emblem. The Rising Sun Badge is the fifth version, approved in 1954 and issued from 1966. It is the badge that Vietnam Service personnel were issued with at the time. A plain shelf sits at the top and bottom of the main body of the honour board and simple columns border each side. The board lists, in gold lettering, the names of eight staff members of the Maritime Services Board of NSW who served in South Vietnam 1966–1970 as National Servicemen, and one staff member of the Sydney Ports Corporation who served in East Timor in 2001. The honour board was unveiled on Remembrance Day, 11 November 2022, and can be found inside the Transport for NSW Maritime Service Centre, on James Craig Road, Rozelle Bay situated near the Anzac Bridge. The memorial was donated by the Maritime Services Board RSL sub-Branch.
