Description / Background

The hall was built in 1951-1952, and opened on 18 April 1952. It was funded by donations and fundraising activities by the Narrawa community. The hall was constructed with donated building materials and voluntary labour, supervised by a building contractor on a donated portion of land. It is of brick construction with a corrugated iron roof. The main hall is 58 feet long and 29 feet wide. The adjoining supper room/kitchen/entry foyer is 35 feet long and 23 feet wide.

A simple timber honour roll is located inside the entry foyer of the hall. Names of those who served in the First and Second World Wars are printed in gilt. Confirmation of these names for the roll was sought in November 1954.
