Description / Background

The refurbished Jindabyne Memorial Hall is a contemporary brick and stone building, featuring a clock tower and flagpole at its entrance. Inside, there is a large hall area, including a stage, and smaller adjoining rooms. In the foyer of the hall are two honour roll plaques.

The hall was built in honour of those who served in the Second World War. It was officially opened by Councillor Leo Barry on 19 December 1964. A ball was held that evening to celebrate the occasion (The Canberra Times, 19 December 1964).
