Description / Background

A large column surmounted by a ball, the whole resting on an octagonal base inscribed with an roll of honour. The memorial is largely of granite construction, and is set within a bordered garden.

A nearby octagonal plinth, also made of granite, records the names of those who lost their lives in the Second World War.

This stone was laid by Edward Lloyd Jones on April 25th 1925

This memorial was unveiled By Major General C. H. Brand C.B. C.M.G. D.S.O. on 29th November 1925.
