TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN THE HONOR OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND MEN OF THIS PARISH (OF WHOM 1200 ARE RECORDED IN THE PARISH HONOR ROLL) WHO SERVED THEIR GOD, THEIR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR AND IN WHICH, FOR OUR SAKES THE FOLLOWING MEN GAVE THEIR LIVES.
