Description / Background

The memorial is a pressed copper roll of honour, for the ex-students of Dudley Public School who served in the Second World War. It features the emblems of the three services, the Australian Army, Royal Australian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force, superimposed over each other, at the top of the roll.

Around the edge of the roll are gum leaves and gum nut shapes, pressed into the sheet. A separate sheet of copper, positioned in the centre of the board, bears the inscription and the names. Each name is listed on a separate copper plaque.

The roll was moved into the foyer of the new school library in 1975. It is located next to the Dudley Public School First World War Roll of Honor.
