Description / Background

The memorial is a tapered granite pillar, with a lamp on top. The whole sits on three sandstone steps. Inscriptions on the sides are engraved in gold. The memorial is approximately 2.85m high and is located at the front of the Hunters Hill Town Hall.

Beside the memorial is a Howitzer Cannon, which was restored in 2015.
