Description / Background

The memorial comprises several elements centring on a sandstone entrance way to the school. Attached to the small sandstone wall at the rear of the entrance, facing into the school, is a bronze plaque with the names of veterans' and the inscriptions embossed in white. Two flag poles flank the entrance way. A second, smaller brass plaque is attached to a side wall.

Flag poles

The flag poles and their flags forming

part of this Old Boys' War Memorial

were donated to the School by the Old

Knox Grammarians' Association to mark

Australia's Bicentenary and were first

used on Anzac Day 1988.
