Description / Background

The memorial is a simply designed timber honour roll for the First World War. It is made of two different timbers, which gives the piece an appealing visual contrast. The top of the board has a classically carved pediment. It is decorated with green foliage, reminiscent of laurel branches.

The roll lists 60 men who served and three who volunteered. Their names are printed in gold, across six columns, in the centre of the board. They are listed in alphabetical order, which suggests the roll was created after the war.

The roll was unveiled in the Teven Hall and is now located in the library of Teven-Tintenbar Public School. Access is available by appointment with the school only.
