(1890-1959), 26yrs, 5’9”, 160lb, med com, blue eyes, brown hair, farm labourer, Youngel, father dec, mother Elizabeth

 

'Fairfield', Khancoban, service no.3132, enlisted 5.10.16, pte, 8th Light Horse, 3rd ALH Bde. Syria and Palestine.

The brothers both embarked in Melbourne 31.1.17 on HMAT 'Anglo Egyptian'.

 

Suffered from influenza, pneumonia and often dysentery.

 

No one seems to remember the Sheather boys, who may have returned to Khancoban for a while, and lived upstream from Doug Sheather's.

They attended Khan School in 1898. Their father was EJ Sheather, dec. and brother Reuben Daniel. James seems to have lived in Corowa in 1923, and a Jim Sheather later had a property at Tooma.
