6. Davis was originally recorded on the Bungendore Memorial as Enlisted and Returned however this was rectified in August 2014  and he is now recorded as having been KIA.

7. St Andrew's Anglian Church at Tarago,NSW possesses an Offeratory Cup ,Bread Box and Cruets in the memory of Private William James Davis KIA on June 7th ,1917.(The Tarago Times September 2014).

9. Commemorated on the ROH in St Thomas'Anglian Church Carwoola, NSW and on the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour Panel 162.

10. Application to use Rising Sun Badge: On 03 November 2015 the Bungendore War Memorial Committee applied to Army Branding to use the Rising Sun badge on a proposed street sign for "Davis" in the town of Bungendore as part of the Centenary of ANZAC Commemorations. This request was approved on 21 December 2015
