6. Queanbeyan Age 9.10.1917 reported that, "Sergt Pat Donnelly, son of Mrs Donnelly of "Douglas" , Lake George, has gained the Military Medal,has been recommended for his commission and has been mentioned in despatches by Sir Douglas Haig, for conspicuous bravey in the field".
