Veteran Notes/Bio

1."Gardiner G.(B)" and "Gardner George .Capt.Army (B)" listed Bygone Queanbeyan. Bungendore War Memorial Hall ROH and Collinson " Final List" both record a "Gardner G."
2. DVA Nominal Roll:
DATE/POB:23.03.1919;;DATE/POE:24.10.1939/Canberra;;LOCALITY ON ENLISTMEN:Bungendore;NOK:Edgar Gardner; DISCHARGE DATE /UNIT:13.10.1945/2/3 Battalion .3.It is presumed that the Digger identified on the Bungendore Memorial is NX4599 on the basis that he is the only "George" who Enlisted in Bungendore and further his NOK was Edgar Gardner who was also the NOK of Athol Gardner NX16325.It is possible that the two" Gardners" listed in Bygone Queanbeyan are the same person as both were "Officers"-one a Cpatin and the other a Lieutenant. 4.
