1."P.K." listed Bygone Queanbeyan and Bungendore War Memorial Hall and Collinson "Final List." 2..No "P.K." listed DVA Nominal Roll. 3.Monaro Pioneers lists Patrick Keith Simpson b.10.05.1922 Bungendore and d. 14 08.1994 Campsie NSW.No mention of any Military Service. Brother of Francis Anthony,Vincent James and Peter Joseph who are all listed on the Bungendore Memorial. No NAA Record available.Ryerson Index provides SMH Notice on 17 August 1994 for Death of Keith Patrick Simpson 13 August 1994 aged 72 (would have been born 1922) late of Campsie.Wife Jean, father of Stephen, Paul and Gregory etc.Quote is "At the going down of the sun etc" that would indicate a military servce comnnection. 4.DVA Nominal Roll lists a Keith Simpson as follows:DATE/POB;10.05.1918/Bungendore;DATE/POE:30.05.1940/Paddingtonn NSW;LOCALITY ON ENLISTMENT: Bungendore; NOK: Mary SimpsonMother);DISCHARGE DATE /UNIT:14.12.1945/2/13 Field Company. 5. NAA file Open 6. It is considered that Keith Simpson NX22991 is the "P.K." listed on the Bungendore Memorial and was the brother of Francis Anthony, Peter Joseph and Vincent James who are also listed on the Memorial. In this matter it is suggested that on enlisting "P.K" gave hisName as "Keith" and Birth Date that was actually 10.05.1922 as 10.05.1918,some 4 years earlier as on enlsstment on 30.05.1940 , he would have only been just 18.His NOK as "Mary" (Mother living in Bungendore) was probably the same Mother as the other Simpsons on the Memorial. His DVA Bungendore connections are convincing.
