Veteran Notes/Bio

An engineer, younger brother of Ernest and Eric, enlisted January 1915 aged 22. Had tried to enlist in August 1914 but rejected on account a a varicose vein, which he had removed to enable him to enlist. Wounded in action 27 August 1915 and died two days later. Gun shot wound to right lung. Private Seaman is named on the St Mary's Honour Board and is memorialised with a window inscription on the Eastern side of the Church.
