A warehouseman, he enlisted aged 21 in June 1915. Spent March - June 1916 in Egypt and disembarked in France 23 June. Reported MIA on 20 July in fighting at Fleur Baix. Ruled KIA at a court of enquiry in July 1917. Body never recovered. Corporal Vale is not listed on the Honour Board.
