Enlisted June 1915, aged 24, a fruit salesman. Wounded at first battle of Somme (July 1916) gun shot wound to the face. Later he was a Lewis Gunner. He was advancing at Hermies when he was shot and killed outright. Aged 28. Last known address: 10 Nicholson Street
