A butcher, he enlisted in January 1916 aged 21. In France from September 1916. Suffered trench feet in November 1916. Returned to the front. Wounded in action August 1918, suffered gun shot wounds to right thigh and left arm. Awarded the Military Medal for his actions at the time of his wounding. Last known address: 6 Campbell Street
