Born in Newcastle, NSW.
Address and next of kin address given as Young Wallsend.
Enlistment date 23 January 1915.
Served in the 1st Battalion at Gallipoli, then transferred to 53rd Battalion on 20 April 1916. Wounded in action at Gallipoli on 6-9 August 1915 with gunshot wound to his right thigh at Lone Pine. Killed in action at Fromelles in France, with no known grave.
