Wounded in action with gunshot wound to right side of face and left leg on 12 January 1917. Suffered from trench fever 2 May 1918.
Returned to Australia 11 May 1919 and discharged 12 August 1919. Died 1959. Medals and discharged certificate returned to Base Records AMF Melbourne 6 October 1959.
