1st Australian Armoured Regiment (RNSW Lancers) Memorial


Red brick structure with plaque and flag staff, close to barracks, dedicated to the Royal New South Wales (RNSW) Lancers.



In memory of members of the Australian Armoured Regiment AIF (Royal New South Wales Lancers) who died on active service 1939-1945


This memorial was erected by the Royal New South Wales Lancers Association and consecrated on April 9, 1985


In memory of the New South Wales Lancers who paid the supreme sacrifice in the South African War 1899 to 1900.

This plaque is to perpetuate the name of the 21 Aust. Fd. Regt. Formerly 21 Aust. Fd. Brigade. Originally a support unit of the First Cavalry Division the Regiment was formed on 1 May 1921 and disbanded in 1943. The Regiment moulded a host of artillerymen for their splendid roles in World War II. Unveiled by Colonel J. N. L. Argent, O.B.E, E.D. On 5 May 1990.
