Description / Background

A circular, brick structure with a clear lid, containing a model showing a plane in a simulated Battle of Britain. It was erected as a memorial to Flight Lieutenant Pat Hughes D.F.C. who fell during the Second World War. A photograph of Hughes is also attached inside the structure. 

The memorial is located next to the Monaghan Hayes Place memorial.
